The journey was challenging, because we embarked on a new market and with new clients. We have, in fact, been invited to start direct a dialogue with clients, which is a new trend that we found based on the good reviews and reports we received in the last three to four years.
That again puts quite a lot of ownership on us to perform and maintain a high level of service that we provide to our clients and to the industry. Over and above, most of our existing clients prefer to work with us due to our qual ity workmanship and completion of projects on time. We always do our best in satisfying our stakeholders and making progress in all our projects
What are some of your current projects?
We have been growing in size, volume, number of projects and staff. We have increased the number of employees from 700 to above 2,000. We have decided to expand because of the workload we're taking on board. Our current projects include:
The Polo Residence is another landmark in addition to the impressive list of Future Metro MEP projects. This development located at NadAl Shiba, Dubai, comprises
the construction of 24 buildings, each with basement , G+4 floors and roof. Future Metro is associated with MAG Group FZ LLC & EG to execute the MEP scope of works.
Zero 6 AI Juraina
Zero 6 Al Juraina, located at Sharjah, is a shopping mall project that is being devel oped in conjunction with HH Sheikh Khalid
Sultan Al Qasimi. The main contractor of this project is Omis and the client is Alef Group, Sharjah. The development comprises a newly built shopping mall with basement, G+1and roof. This community mall will have retail spaces, cinema, supermarket, medi clinic, nursery, food and beverage, and retail outlets. Zero 6 is intended to be a landmark development within Sharjah that will attract the very best retail tenants
Damac Akoya Oxygen 450 & 216 Villas
Future Metro is proud to be associated with the Dubai's first green residential address called the Damac Akoya Oxygen project.
This prestigious project is located 25 minutes from the centre of the city along the Umm Suqeim Expressway. The projects consist
of five star hospitality, desert-inspired
luxury spa, unique yoga enclave, water play fountains, organic fresh market, green din ing, school and nurseries, retail and other modern day amenities.
Future Metro MEP scope will have six dif ferent kinds of villas totalling 450. We will be the MEP contractor and will collaborate with Commodore Contracting.
For the 216 villas, Future Metro will collabo rate with Simplex Infrastructure
We are exploring other ventures too and expect good news in the coming month. So we are quite hopeful.
What are your company's future plans?
The future plan is to double up and possibly even triple up in size, in volume of work, in manpower and in turnover in the coming three months.
How is the market shaping up? What market trends have you noticed this year?
The market is shaping up quite nicely as the so called "big players" are sadly starting to disappear from the market place because of their cash flow problems that we read in the newspapers.
This may be due to the challenges they
face such as clients not paying up on time, or sometimes, simply due to management issues.
We wish them well and we wish them re covery, but there is quite a big vacuum in the market and it desperately needs good quality MEP contractors and that's why we are here.
Clients started to seek direct contacts and approach MEP contractors to make sure they have the right people on board and high level professionals with them in the same camp, and so we believe we are in that place.
What are the main opportunities in the market?
The opportunities are huge. Mega projects are
in play now. The UAE construction sector is ramping up on projects related to Expo 2020. Currently, we are bidding for almost all major developments in UAE projects and we are confident of winning major projects this year too.
There are partners teaming up with us from the main contractor side. One partner will be announced very soon. It is an international contracting company partner. By partnering, we will be carrying out a scope of $1bn to
$10bn per project, where we do Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) contracts plus financing. We will provide a very unique service to the industry and possibly to the semi-governmental and governmental sectors, which we are in dialogue with in Sharjah, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
We are expecting some pleasant news and
achievements by the end of the year 2017. We continue to hope for the best and are ready to work hard in delivering the best quality projects and reaching our goals.
